"Failed to load control 'RichTextBox'  from the RICHTX32.OCX"
 

Symptom:

The above error message is displayed when running DC Proof, usually on older PC's.
 

Probable Cause:

 Obsolete version of RICHTX32.OCX in your System32 directory.
 

Solution:

Replace it with the current version in your DC Proof directory. Proceed as follows:

1. As a precaution, back up the existing RICHTX32.OCX file in your System32 directory. Simply rename the file, e.g. RICHTX32old.OCX. Or copy it to another directory.

2. Copy the current version of RICHTX32.OCX in your DC Proof directory into your System32 directory.

3. Try running DC Proof again. If the problem persists, contact the author (dc at dcproof dot com)
